| On Feb 17th, 2009 President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law that
qualifies hospitals and physicians for $17 billion worth of incentive payments from Medicare and Medicaid
over a five-year period. Under the ARRA, specifically the Health Information Technology for Economic
and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, between $44,000 and $64,000 in Medicare and Medicaid incentive
payments will be available for each physician proving “meaningful use” of an EHR. |
